Born into greatness he wasn’t.
As for the silver platter, they never handed him that.
The world presented him with everything they gave everyone else.
It was take this and make of it what you will.
The weak put away their dreams and opt for a life of serenity, suffering in silence.
They convince themselves it’s what they wanted.
But the Hurricane never settled for less. He’s different. Never the sheep but the shepherd. Never settling for less.
That little voice humming away, ‘Don’t settle’.
‘Bring it!’ Was his code. ‘I’ll climb it’ was his tune.
When life whispered that he should be content, he answered back with fire in his chest and said, “Not yet.”
His goals weren’t desires, they were promises he made to himself in the dark when no one was watching.
Pain etched on his face and in his mind lay the urge, the urge to rise, never suppressed, the urge to succeed.
Not once did he break.
Many times he was knocked back.
Doors closed in his face.
He lost sleep, relationships and money but the one thing he never lost was the hunger, therelentless, unshakable hunger to become everything he knew he could be.
He never settled for less.
Not just for success but for excellence.
Here was a man who never settled for less and didn’t live a life of ease.
He lived a life of purpose.
Knowing that life is a journey, one he could enjoy.
Now when he speaks he says ‘Climb the mountain, make it bow beneath your will and enjoy the journey like I ask you to join me to enjoy my journey’.
